Keep Yinz Warm is an organization that was started by Jon Jackson in 2010 when he was 12 years old. After seeing a homeless man under a bridge while driving with his mother, Jon decided he needed to do something to help. He did not feel this was a problem he could ignore. At the time Jon thought what better way to keep the homeless warm than with blankets. From there Keep Yinz Warm was born.

In 2013 Jon received The Jefferson Award, known as the "Nobel Prize for volunteerism", in recognition for his community service.
